Perkembangan teater indonesia pada akhir abad XX

This article aims to describe: 1) the tittles of drama that shown in 1999; 2) groups of theatre that involves at theatre shows in 1999; 3) the map of theatre shows that noted down in print media during 1999. The object of this article are news articles or theatre reviews that publicated on print media likes magazine, news paper, or tabloid during 1999. The collected data was selected chronologically and was spareted by a category that in accordance with article's topic. Analysis tecnique used was qualitative descriptive technique. The analysis result shown that: 1) during 1999 there was 17 foreign playwright and 13 Indonesia's playwright was shown, and there was 4 articles of theatre news, 2) during 1999 there was 23 theatre groups that shown minimum a playwright and a group of collaboration theatre worker from five Asia countries, 3) Jakarta was a central of theatre show in 1999; at least 19 show was entertaint in several house theatre in Jakarta; then Bandung and Yogyakarta by five entertaint each other; after that was Bali, Makassar, Padang and Solo
