Pendekatan Cara Wimba Dalam Kajian Bahasa Rupa
What is here termed wimba refers to a concrete form of an image-that can be perceived by the sense of sight and the sense of touch. It is hoped that visualization through a picture which can be seen and touched will cause a communication to occur between the creator of art and the connoisseur of art. The topic of art evaluation in this article focuses on visual language which covers three principal terms: (1) content of wimba, referring to the form of the object pictured, (2) method of wimba, referring to how the object is pictured, and (3) manner of expression, referring to how the content can tell its message and what message is presented by the object pictured (content of wimba) by observing how the object is pictured (method of wimba). By evaluating the visual language through the wimba method, a pictorial work such as a painting can be analyzed in detail according to its wimba.
