ince 2002 up to now, if we observe the KOMPAS short stories published every Sunday, we will notice that the ilustrations are different from those published before. It is because sence 2002 many artist are involved in producing the ilustrations, such as Sigit Santosa, Joko Pekik, Samuel Indratme, FX. Harsono, Dewi Aditya, Made Wiyanta, Tisna Sanjaya, Ang Hary Wahyu. The latest name is very well known as a book cover designer with oldish style. In the recent visual art context, it is not longer significant to create a dicotomy between fine art and applied art. Both of them are parts of visual art and affects each other. Moreover both of them could be commercial art.
