The term verb has widely been used since the beginning of the science of language and it has been admitted as a precise term to indicate any type of predicate in a clause. So far, no linguists have the opinion to replace the term by another. They generally do attempt to classifiy verbs, according to the syntactic as well as semantic features, but, actually, they are trapped in accepting this inadequate term.
